P-Diddy 15 gets my vote (duh). Following directions is a must!

Being your not going to see it, POR 15 would probally be the easiest. Dries like a ceramic finish. Not sure how well paint will stick. If your going to paint it, wire brush out as much as u can then use a product called Rustmort. Then a good epoxy primer then paint. That should seal it up either way.

The por 15 man in our area said to paint over the por 15 when it is tacky before it dries. I have not tried this but got the info at the pomona swap meet.

Painting over the Por 15 while tacky isnt the best idea, no offense Bernie. Some chemicals may react w/ the Por 15, or not allow it to properly cure. Try this primer after the Por 15 cures.
