1970 Fog Light Install / Mounting - No Mounting holes
Hey folks. I have a 1970 914. The COA has fog lights listed as an option that came on the car, there is a fog light switch in the factory position inside the car, and the wiring of course is present where the fog lights mount. I have worked on many 914's but they have always had the fog light clearly bolted in what I would call the normal mounting position (square extruded section with the built in threads).
This car has no threaded holes in the normal position to mount the fog lights (or anywhere else that makes any sense). The horn brackets and holes are present, but nothing for the fog lights. Was there an alternative factory method? Early method? I am at a loss of how to mount these correctly. Thanks in advance.
