Where are my front turn signals on my 914

Newbie here,I use to have a 914 about 15 years ago.I recently bought a 1973 2.0 orange Porsche 914,I remember I bought the European front lenses for the turn signals. I almost did buy them again but there is not turn signals in the front!! Please can someone tell me if this is normal I barely notice that.

It looks like mine are shaved I didn’t notice when I bought it, I was so excited that I didn’t see, good part it has a 2.0 with FI system,need to rebuild but is complete, I’ll tray you post a pic tomorrow morning,why would one do that to a car? Thanks for responding.
