Metal trunk rollers continued
thanks for your help, i've heard the deep-well socket thing before i'm just confused on how to do it. I thought the pictures might help you to understand my problem.

The socket thing works much better when there is another inch or two of torsion rod sticking forward from the hinge. You plug your 6" extension into the socket, and slide the socket over the end of the rod. You may need to do that while prying down on the rod with a screwdriver or some such... Then you can use the extension to push down on the rod.
Check to make sure that the hinge and bracket are OK. They break not infrequently, and that is the usual cause of the rear lid being misaligned like that. --DD
