who knows ANYTHING sbout IDF's
This is my first pair of webers. They were put on my car in the 70's
and I keep seeing "update kits" for these carbs. I have had a recurring prblem with defective and leaky accelerator pup diaphragms as supplied by the major Weber carb dealer ( webercarburetor.com) resulting in a rich conditon. Are there non-Weber sources for these and do those "update kits" address this?

Great question, I was wondering the same thing myself. I could use a new accelerator pumps on mine as well and was wondering if the "update kit" from CB would do the trick.
Just so the experts out there know it's not just you that has this question. Nathan

I have been using CBPerformance for my carb parts for years and have been happy. I replaced my leaky pumps with their new pumps and have had no trouble.
Are you talking about the downdraft update kit that replaces the secondary venturi with the bar? This kit comes with new jets ,vents, and a rebuild kit. I'm not sure if the pump is included. This kit is supposed to help with power above 2500 RPM but will probably hurt your fuel economy. |
