Use for worn out cases?

I have 2 cases that need align-boring - I don't know why anyone would buy one over a good used case. What do you do with these? Can they be recycled-do you have to remove the steel?

From what I've been told and have read, there are fewer and fewer good cases around. Cases in buses take the worst beating, but 914 and 411 cases usually now have lots of miles on them. Align boring is not uncommon. Cases are like a lot of parts. We throw them away today but tomorrow someone will be glad to get their hands on a "restorable" case. But we can't save everything.
