OMG! What an amazing difference. It is not my old Honda Accord, but it seems to be like 90% the way there, compared to the tail shift 6.
I want to thank Sean_V8 for his expertise in welding the shift rod, several times.....sorry about that. The actual tranny work, remove gear stack, change to sideshift, re-install, took 3 hours. Getting the shiftrod right - a week! You really do have to install a straight rod. But - Aligning the shiftrod took 1 shot. A breeze compared to the tail shift. Each gear seems to "snap" into place. Mmmmmm. I can shift into any gear from any gear. OK. Now all I have to do is get the interior back from the shop..... And get a set of the clamshells from Brad Meyer. And get the car repainted. And tune the carbs. And....etc..... James James
