center console question
Had a question about the center pad between the seats. I have the pad but the PO attached it to a home made storage box. What is exactly under the pad, is it that plastic sort of divider I keep seeing on evil-bay.

Couldbe that the home made storage box is not so home made afterall...
IIRC my 74 has some sort of wooden storage box about 5 cm deep under neath the pad. This wooden construction is covered with some sort of black vinyl ... ... no plastic divider in my car - and the stuff I described before apears to be original equipment .

Can you post a pic? There are 2 types of center storage things that were available stock. One was not hinged at all and the bottom was plastic. This was on the base model cars without the appearance package. The upgrade was hinged and the base was made of wood wrapped in vinyl (excuse me...leatherette
![]() I agree the wooden base DEFINITELY looks homemade to some people, especially when it gets worn a bit. If you have a Bumblebee it no doubt came with the appearance package which included the wooden one and the center console with gauges. It may have deteriorated and the PO made another one... who knows?
