You can't just leave us hanging...I've wanted to see a picture ever since you mentioned you were getting them with full vinyl bolsters.

Sorry!
Didn't mean to be a tease! I took some yesterday after I finished making up some of the fitted GT hood pin plates. They are going to the developer at lunch. Unless I get a chance to borrow a dig. camera sooner, I should have them up later in the week.

Scott,
I hope you can post some pics of your new seats. What color did you get? I went to the Renegade site to have a look at them. They look good. How is the quality? Also, is the seat back still as slim as the stock seat back, or has padding been added to make then thicker or wider. I ask because I like the space behind the seat that the stock seat allows, plus the fact that the stock seats go further into the backpad than aftermarket seats for more legroom. Mike |

They are beautiful. I requested some changes that they were able to do easily. I really wantes the interior to look as much like a GT as possible, so I had them do the entire bolster in black vinyl. It is a bit softer than the factory vinyl, so will see how it wears over time. The ceter of the seat is a black heavy tweed that has similar sewn pleats as factory.
I no longer have a back pad in my car, however, since Renegade built these seats on my actual seats, I cant imagine that they would not fit. I have tried many different seats in my car over the past few months, and none of them even fit the steel firewall recess very well. The Renegade seats slipped right in - and my 6'2" 240 lb frame slipped right into them! Film will be back tomorrow - I will get them scanned and posted... -s

So how do these feel for long drives? Anyone compare the Renegade ones with the cool Konig seats. I think I like the Konig look better. I am wondering how tight these seats feel, sports seats are nice but racing seats are just too restrictive to drive for hours in.

Oh ya another big hit against the Renegade seat is the logo on the back of the seat "Renegade Hybrids". Ya ya you can order it in less conspicuous black lettering but you can not order them with no lettering. Sorry Renegade but I don't want a V8 label on my 914-6, people will get the wrong idea. If people think my car is a V8 conversion then it will be somewhat devalued, at least in my mind.
That my bit of snobbery ![]()

I sat in both. I ended up selling my Konig's because they were to tight and uncomfortable as a daily driver. The Renegade seats have the same width as the stock seat and are very comfortable. Don't waste a dime on Konig until you sit in it first.
I have a 32" waste. If you are very skinny the Konig are very nice seats. I currently have a set of Corbeau seats. They only cost $225 a piece but they sit about two inches higher. I'm 5'10" and I had to take two inches out of the seat pad so my head wouldn't hit the roof. If I could do it over again I wouldn't of bought the Corbeau seats. The moral of the story is try the seat in a 914 before buying it.

Agreed, I am 6'2 34" waist, so I need a short wider seat. I've seen Konigs on Ebay... they look really nice. I have only seen konigs in person once and the owner was not around to let me test sit in the seat.
I guess the Renegade seats are $400 less so that is a plus. Maybe i will call them and ask for a pair but only if they do not put their logo on it. I just don't want a logo of any type on my seats . ![]()

They have told us that they will not omit the logo. Period.
You may be able to use a tailor's stitch-removing tool to cut the threads and remove the stitched logo yourself, but the result may not look very good... --DD
