73 914 fuel tank - which is the feed line?

Fuel tank has two fittings on the bottom. One a feed and the other a return. There is a larger diameter line and a smaller Which is the feed line?

Larger one is the Supply to the Fuel Pump at the rear, similar to the early CIS 911's with a rear pump.

Best to relocate your fuel pump up front if you can. It runs better up front. Pumps are better pushers than pullers.

Thanks Len - Hmm, I agree. How much space is under the tank?

Thanks, I got it all back together and figured out the larger diameter line with the tall screen on it. The hardest part was getting the hard line through the tunnel. I didn't realize I could have popped off the front interior cover and easily guided the fuel line through the opening under the tank. Just needed the one line as its a Lt1 running a carb

Wow, Tamar, you really sound like a spammer attempting to look like a forum member without effort.

Are you?

EDIT: He was, in fact, a spammer. He came back later and edited in the link he was trying to promote. Bye bye, spammer!

carbs deserve a return line also
all cars deserve a return line..

cooler fuel, more HP, and better in all ways.

I am severely changing my process for dealing with new members, spammers, for sale with no post count, etc. Getting tired of putting up with all of this.

Funny you mentioned that Brant. We were talking about that in your garage last month. I got back home and a few days later, my capped return line started leaking and spilling fuel in the car while I was doing a routine monthly warm up. With somewhere to go that might not have happened. I am joining the return line for carbs camp.
