How do you post those photos

Can anyone tell me how you post photos into your posts?

Also, how to you get the little photo nect to your name.

I'd really like to show off my car (a little) since none of my regular friends really care.

I click on the image button but it looks like the photo must be stored on a web site - I'm clueless on this one.

Thanks.......................Vern

We want to see your car.

I know what you mean. Click the the blue hyperlink that says "Attach Multiple", then browse to your picture. It uploads onto your post showing some visual basic language ("IMG... something" or such). When you press the "Submit Reply" button it converts that into the photo that shows on the bbs. I guess it is a stored on some server out in the great electronic ether. Try that. then I'll tell ya how to make the little avatar.

after attach multiple, click on the image you want, open, upload now. when uploaded, the script for the for the photo will be included in your topic/reply box, repeat for multiples, then submit. if the resolution is up too high they can get kicked back. i turn my camera down low.

Scott, Kevin,
Yes, I have attempted uploads of pix. in accordance with your instructions several times. Problem is, in my case anyway, after attempting upload, I get a window back that says something like "This pix allready exits, whatever, and change the name/title and retry". I never did understand this, still don't. I would then change the name of the pix to be uploaded, try it again and get the same result, same inscrutable statement. I just gave up.
Question is, why do the instructions for uploading pix on this site have to be so oblique and confusing? Why not just A, B, C instructions in plain, not cumputer, English, so that dummys, like me, can participate like the computer geeks?

go back to your photos and change the name. from just engine, to engine 1, engine 2, etc, what ever you choose. it will not attach if that pict name exsists. whether it's yours or someone else's. it only took me about 6 months to get it right.

The pictures are stored on one computer. With 100s of users it is easy to have names that are the same. The storage computer does not match the user name to the picture, it just looks for the picture name which is embedded in your post.
Use a unique name for common items, such as your intials followed by the part name. ferbearing, etc.

Kevin, I will see if this works:

Damn, it worked.

This is my old yellow 71, 1.7L bomb. I bought it for $500.00, spent a couple of years restoration, maybe $2000 plus a ton of labor, drove the hell out of it for two years and sold it for $4,200.00. The buyer replaced my 14 inch wheels with 15 and re-sold it a couple of months later for $5,700.00. The new buyer used it for PCA DE for a year or more without problems.

super. why porsche put that stupid vinyl and chrome strip (more holes, moisture trapping, rust forming) on the sail panel is beyond me. they look 100% better with out it, well, 95% better.

Totally dissagree. Some cars look better without the black sail panel but others look awsome (like mine)
