I just installed this on my VW New Beetle and it took all my electrical problems away. I was wondering if something like this would benefit my 914. I was up all night looking for these "99.99% copper" grounding cables and found some. I should be installing my "own" system in a couple of weeks. As long as it strengthens the electrical current, I'm game. Just an idea!!

Unibody cars in good condition, with regular grounding straps, would not benefit from these straps unless there is some serious design problem to begin with.

Looks like the marketing people from the audio/video cable industry are moving into new territory with their hype. These are not going to provide any advantage over a similar gauge stranded copper wire with properly attached terminals. If you had an electrical problem before, it was likely due to a badly crimped terminal or a loose/corroded ground point on the body that you inadvertently fixed while changing out the cables. Or as Brad said, a design problem wit the wiring system. The ad does not specify the wire gauge or ohms/foot and relies on vague marketing hype to sell you a grossly overpriced product.

I always run a Ground from the Battery Neg post to the engine block. A #4 cable works fine, I run it over to the bolt that is used to hold the starter in place. You may need to ream the loop fitting on the cable to fit the bolt. Steve

I agree, its overpriced and it looks nice but I like the idea. My butt dyno felt a difference in response time in my other car. I don't know the resistance but the cables are 8 guage. I'm making a set for about $25.00 including quality cable.
