About 2 months ago, someone asked the same question. Here's the response. "Try All German Auto in Escondido. You can find their ad in the Witness."
Seems like you can do nearly anything in Nevada! Go for it (and pay your life insurance premiums! Open roads have variables that can never be accounted for, despite the roads being closed to the public. One coyote on the run and you're toast. I'd do it anyway!)

Tom's Foreign Autohouse 909-695-4814 Is the Porsche specialist Iin Temecula. Has good reputation but I have no personal experiance with his shop. I live here and will help if I can but have no experiance with 944's.
