Front Targa Seal..Which one to buy?
Those who came to the cookout saw my horror of a front targa seal.
I am going to buy new seal and get this issue resolved. Who has bought a seal recently and has had sucsess with it? I may just buy the side seals while I am at it.. Partswerks has a good price for one but how is the quality? PParts still will not sell them (based on the web site info) Anyone else? Cheers Kerry ![]()

Only 2 things you have to know: It's going to cost, and it had better be OEM.
I say OEM Seals are not negotiable. If you live in an area with more than 2 inches annual rainfall, you MUST use OEM, or waste money, and keep crying. I feel your pain, I just horked up enough money to put a motor in most cars for a complete seal set, and I bought it 6 places... and I need half of another set. When I can't find good seals, I go with Otters. <--- that's a joke, you can giggle now. Mile $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $

Dealer? Nah.
Out of respect to our hosts, I really wouldn't get into sending you anywhere else but here, also saying that I have never had a bad time buying stuff here, unlike just about every other place that ever was. I am sure Pelican gets some courtesy discounts from dealers also. Ok Wayne, I am ready for my close-up.... ![]() M Miles Hendrix 532 E. Your Street Hometown, USA. 5551212

I buy 99% of all my stuff from here. The web site indicates the seal I need is not caried by P Parts anymore?? Something about quality of the seal is/has been bad.
I guess I'll just call or send a e-mail to them. Thanks again

I think it was JohnB who used his PCA coupon to order the seal through a dealer. This knocked the price down considerably, but he had to make them keep on ordering new ones until he got a good one. I think it too three tries to get one that was not already broken at the corners.

We Need to update this text as we have The Good ones in stock.
-S- Windshield Frame Seal This is the seal that fits around the windshield frame and provides a channel for the roof to mate to. This seal is a one piece seal that fits down the sides of the windshield frame as well. Very often, this seal has broken into three pieces, but in fact it should be one single piece. Our seals have been checked for the recent quality control problem that has been plaguing many of these seals. These seals are still available, but the current batch circulating has not met with our high quality standards. As a result, Pelican Parts is refusing to carry this seal until the manufacturer improves their process. We are advising people to wait until this problem is corrected. OEM Porsche seals have exhibited this problem as well. We will re-stock these seals after we have determined that this quality problem has been solved. Sorry for the inconvenience. We got good ones, now, Steve?? SCHWEET!!
![]() Biggy, there are quite a few places that straight seals can go. (Keep them out of the walrus gay-bars, though... ![]() If it is supposed to go up near the other seal we're talking about, then it is the one that goes just below the other seal. ![]() --DD

I'll have to look around and see if I can find that other one. It's not on the car now, but I'm sure it's somewhere.... but who knows if it's any good or not.
