The wire from the high beam bulb is attached at wrong fuse tab. It should be on fuse one, that has the solid white wire going to left high beam. I think it is a white wire with blue stripe, but you should check the wiring diagrams here at PP.

Or ... maybe your dimmer relay is stuck or dimmer switch bad and you have high beams on all the time. One way to tell - if your fog lights don't come on then you're always on high beams. The fog light relay is tied to the same fuse #1 as the indicator light, but on the other side of the fuse. If they do come on then it's something else.

I'd go after the dimmer relay first - swap it out with one of the other relays and then see if it works. If it still doesn't work, then a bad connection from the relay to the switch or the switch is bad. Here's where a voltmeter comes in handy.

I am an idiot when it comes to a voltmeter, I just figured out how to check the battery for volt. reading. Wiring is my weakness among others.

I once had a problem with the high beam light staying on. And, when I flashed between low & high, it didn't seem like there was much change.

My lights were working perfectly until I installed Euro turn signals. It turned out that my original fron blinkers were not wired correctly and when I put in the extra bulb for the euro conversion - everything went wrong.

So, get out your haynes book & start checking everything from the front bulbs to the fuse box. Chances are, you've got a wire attached incorrectly - somewhere..............................Vern

My high beams and blue light is also constently on. How can I switch to low beams. The relay is working fine. I don't know if I am suppose to pull back the lever or not, I've tried that and it will not move back or forth, just up and down for the turn signals. Is it suppose to go back and forth or not?

The reason I was asking this is, the original and the 2 I got from the boneyard will not toggle. Is there something I'm not seeing?

Sorry, I can't be of anymore help at the moment, it's been 15 years since I've been in that part of the car.

I had the same problem with the high beams and it turned out to be the fuses.

Old fuses and corrosion led to poor operation.
