This car looks nice! Ebay NR

I got up this morning and went to my ebay and found this car on there. I really like it. I wonder how much it will go for? Looks pretty clean to me. But I know, pictures lie sometimes.

If you go to there website www.classiccars.com you will see that they are trying to sell the car for $4800 needs TLC and as-is.
Still a nice looking car. Plus they do have a nice looking selection of cars and a nice showroom.

not sure i understand the "body style changes" that occurred with the 914. wasn't the only change over the whole production run with the front and rear bumpers?

FYI that is at least the 2nd time that car has been on e-bay. That doesn't necessarily mean anything...just FYI. PPI would alleviate any concerns.

Well, there is no reserve on it and it is looking like I am not the only one who likes the car. It is already up there in price. For good reason too, Yellow cars are faster!

Ever wonder why they are keeping the bidder's name private?? Price seems to be going up awful quickly, towards the asking price on the car lot??Hummm

Why would you want to. The sun will cook the top of your head and heat the inside of your car to BROIL. Plus they can leak , unless you Goop the heck out of the thing.

The car has had a color change. No yellow cars came with a tan interior.

The mix and match color interior looks terrible. I never understood porsche and the black dash and tan interior...

I don't think I would go so far as to say " No yellow car came with a tan interior" Porsche could have done a one or a few. It is also possible that this car had a an interior change. If you think the black dash and tan interior look bad, taker a look at the cars of today. You can find five different colors in the interior alone.

Funny you mention that about tan interior in a yellow car. Here is a picture of my car when I bought it. All orginal.

This is the first time I believe you were mistaken

I changed it because 1 it was thrashed, 2 I hate tan interior in a yellow car. 3 I got a good deal on a black interior.

I have never seen a stock interior that matched in any color but black, I have seen at least one of every color recovered to match.

The dashes and consoles were always black.

White kicks ass when it matches.

Heh... I think Red-Beard has just run into a phenomenon that Jon Lowe talked about at last year's MUSR. Someone had asked him some question about what was available on some specific 914.

"Every time I say or write 'No XX 914 ever had YY', the next month someone will walk up to me who is the original owner of an XX 914 and has factory documentation of it having YY. So I've given up saying anything like that. But very few if any of those 914s were available with that."

i bought a yellow 74' at auction that had a darker brown interior. brn oe carpet too. had a moon roof (semi dark tint) also, still have it . the brn int with the black dash and pilar trim looks awkward.
