2.0 F.I. Capability
I really like the F.I. system on the 1.7 and 2.0 cars but because of larger displacement motors I have gone to carburetors. With that in mind I would like to know if anyone has ever flow tested a 2.0 throttle body and intake runners to see how big of an engine they could support airflow wise without being too restrictive. The fuel requirement could be overcome by bumping up fuel pressure, custom injectors, etc... but you need the air also so.... Anyway any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Ian

I have it on very good authority that the FI system on a 2.0 won't let the engine rev over 6800 to 7000 as it won't pass enough air. That was intentionally put into the design to act as a last resort rev limiter.
