914 V8, Would PCA let you run at DE?

Would PCA let a V8 converted Porsche run at a DE? I know they no longer consider them true Porsches, but would they run under special interest or something? Anyone with experience because Putnam Park is just a jog over from me and P-cars run there quite often. TIA

Depends on the PCA region. The locals (Zone 7 here in N. California) would not. Other regions would. You'll have to check with your local people to find out.

Here on the East Coast, seen some SBC Porsches. No problem as long as the car passed tech.

I left before the final runs so I didn't get to see the cayenne's times, I was basing that on the results that Mike Graf e-mailed me. It didn't include the cones I guess.

That thing was much faster than I expected, it didn't plow anywhere near as much as I expected a pig that size to do.

I got a kick out of Paul Kramer's Audi TT station wagon with 4 helmets in it, one in every door window. That thing is very fast for a grocery getter. 'Course it aint 'zackly stock

Did the Miata guys behave? I was betting they were gonna knock down every cone in the place before it was all over.

BTW, a couple years ago I took my V8 powered 914 to Irwindale, got 7th fastest time of the day. With my driving technique that is really saying something. A real driver prolly could have gotten into the top 3.
