another 914 sighting Parked car

I went out to do a job on Sunday night over in Tustin. It was on First street right off the 55 freeway. It was a black 72/73 with five lug Fuch wheels. It was parked in front of a trailer with a VW kit car on it like a manta or sterling that was red. There was also another kit car in the driveway that was covered up. Anyone from here?

There's a really nice Lime Green one off Sawtelle in Culver City, always see it parked in the same spot.

I've only seen 2 out in the open other than mine - a yellow one crossing an intersection, and a green one at a car show. Seen a couple more in garages, on planned trips to other teener owners homes...

Besides my own.. (which has just got back on the road), I've only seen 3 others actually ON THE ROAD in the last year here in the Tucson area. AMARK's, a yellow sixer, and some ivory one that I attempted to follow.... sad. I have seen a few 'parked' cars though! 914GT's V8 conversion is beautiful.. just needs the motor...

I saw a white with a blue stripe, 914 slant-nose on I-4 west bound just before I-275 in Tampa, FL, yesterday (Monday), about 3:30pm. It's the first one I've seen in a year. I used to see a green one in the St. Pete, Carillon, area. They are definately few and far between.

I wouldn't have thought so either, but now that I think about it, I see very few.

I was out looking for a new truck the other day and saw one on a lot down in Santa Ana. It was a red flared 75 with early bumpers on it. POS but it did have a little potential. 1.8 FI stock. It might pass smog, maybe.

Well, when you're right, you're right. But my rockers are in dynamite shape, should handle a six very nicely.

No 914's in Chihuahua

No 911's

Not one Porsche. I did see a couple of BMW's and Mercedes...

I am considering the trip back there in the Summer, with the 911, if it is completely road worth by then. The 914 would be fun on the roads between Cuidad Chihuahua and Cuaomoc. It is something like a cross between the twisty back road between TJ&Ensenada and the super highway, except it was recetly repaved. VERY nice! Course, it would have been more fun in the 914 instead of the Jeep.

Hmmmm. Maybe I should drag the 914 to Chihuahua on a trailer, behind the jeep...

They are rare in Ohio? Odd. They are a dime a dozen around here.
