Hi,
Please help me: I want to install an extra tachometer gauge of 914 that I have on my vw bug. 3 connectors 1.- Switch or positive 2.- ground or negative 3.- signal - COIL OR ALTERNATOR ? let me know thanks and regards Eduardo. |

Most all coil/distributor driven tachs are connected the same: positive = +12volts, negative = good ground and signal = coil connection which on a 914 is usually the black w/purple stripe wire. Good luck

That's the (-) connection on the coil, the same one that the distributor points connect to.
