914-6 heat exchangers and exhaust

I have a solid exhaust system for a 914-6 and wish to protect it. I understand that hot jet coating is an excellent way but know nothing about this process. Is there another way and is there a place in Alabama that does this process? Can somebody explain this to me? Thanks. Jimmy

Not sure about the Alabama connection, but there are places other than "JET HOT" that do the coating.

It is an aluminum Ceramic coating, typically used for hot section turbine parts, to improve life. The advantage to the exchaust for us is it provides protection from the elements with a coating with will not come off, like paint.

I was quoted $230 to have my heat exchangers coated by JET HOT.

Thanks Red-Beard for getting back with me so quickly. The ceramic product sounds great. Can you buy this product and bead blast and do it yourself? Also, where is JET HOT located?

Nooooooo.

It is baked onto the pieces, kind of like powder coating, except much hotter. You send them the pieces, rust, oil and all. They clean, blast and coat them.
