Sway bar kit
I'm going to buy a 19mm front sway bar kit.
I have a question- what does the $300 kit consist of? Will I have to buy the U-tab kits and the triangle mount kits, or are they included in the kit? (I have a welder, and am willing to remove the gas tank)

What brand kit are you buying?
The U-tab kit is needed if your A-arms don't have the swaybar U-tabs already. My 76 which did not have factory bars did hve the U-tabs factory installed. Mike |

I think that someone in the vendor forum on the 914club site is selling the triangular mounts that will allow the installation of larger than stock sway-bars.

Check here, and you'll find a link that says "photo". Click it and you'll see this pic:
No front triangle adaptor kit or U-tab kit in that pic. I believe the "basic" kit is intended to upgrade cars that already have the factory sway bar setup. You need to purchase the U-tab kit and the triangle mounting kit separately. (Don't get the "no gas tank removal required" kit, it is lame and weak and generally just sucks rocks.) The Tarrett bars (next category down in the catalog) are pretty sweet parts. They're more expensive, but are better put together to my eye. No 19mm available, however. --DD
