CV Joint 12 Point tool Size?
Looking for the size tool I need to remove the CV Joints from the transaxle.
I would like to buy a craftsman tool. I read over the Engine drop tech article but it only states it as a 12 point tool. I need something more specific. Anyone know what I need? Luke |

The markings on mine are worn off but if I recall it's an 8 mm. I clean out where the tool goes then lightly tap it in. Never stripped one that way. Hope that helps.

M8 Triple Square. AKA, in VW Bug circles, as "the CV Joint Socket". This is not a 12-point Allen key; Allen sockets have 60-degree corners and the triple square sockets have 90-degree corners.
