Most Tools ever

After seeing the Stereo thread and just completing my front sway bar install I thought it would be fun to rate the most common upgrades. Wayne has a rating of difficulty on the tech articles but I think
we should rate by how many tools it takes for a particular task. My sway bar installation
took about 10 hours and &*%$loads of tools.
Impact wrench
air compressor
ratchet
sockets
screwdrivers
jack Stands
wire Brush's
Holesaw
hammer
rubber hammer
drill
siphon hose
trouble light
drills
electrical tape (look for wire bundle on drivers side before drilling)
floor jack
vise
tape
pencil
tape measure
hole punch
wood clamps (ill fated attempt to drill straight though a-arms)
wrench's
I only had to purchase a 1 inch hole saw and mandrel, god bless my dad for being a tool junky. If he had not just passed away last month I would give him a hug. I hate to have to stop to go pick something up.

Good idea.

By the way, sorry to hear about your father. Mine past on in '81. Seems like everytime I need something and am about to go to the store, I take on last look in the garage. Sure enough, no matter how obscure, the tool/part is there. Even if I swear I looked there last week and the part wasn't there it just "appears". I wish I could give my dad a hug too.

Seems like most of us wish that we could give our father a hug every now and then...and some of us are able to. Kind of funny....seems like all of us 14 lovers have/had fathers that were mechanically inclined. Kind of would have had to be because we have to work on our cars a lot because of the abuse the cars have seen. Yes, my father has a lot of tools...problem is, he doesn't keep track of them and tends to be a bit messy. But, if i realy start looking, I will find that part that I need. He has owned a 1974 911 from new...and rebuilt the engine, so he has all the cool tools that I need.

my engine installation/tune up for application took a lot of tools. =)
here's a partial list:
hoist (yeah, the car was up in the air)
tranny jack
aircompressor
air ratchet
impact wrench
impact sockets
ratchet
extensions
regular sockets
endwrenches
torque wrench
wire cutters
wire strippers
crimpers
heat gun
lathe
dial indicator
torch
wire feed welder
grinder
BFH (hammer)
vicegrips
drill
drill bits
drill press
clutch alignment tool
handheld computer to set injector timing
injector cleaner
timing light
if i think of anymore i'll add them later. i know there were more. i'm sure we could have done it with less, but WHY? they were all there in the box that is about the size of my car, only a LOT heavier.
