Rear Window

My rear window bangs when I hit bumbs. Its really annoying. I know its the window becuase if I push on it when I go over bumps is stops banging. I dont see where the window is held in from the inside on the bottom. Well lets me kind of rephrase that, my window is not held in on the bottom. What is supposed to secure this? Thanks

The window is held in with "windsheild adhesive". This is a black goop that you can buy in a caulking gun (I think), or in a pre-formed roll.

The over-simplified version of rattling window repair is:

Remove the seats.
Remove the backpad.
Remove the roll bar padding--all 3 pieces.
Cut the old adhesive, the window slides down and then tilts out at the bottom.
Remove all the old adhesive, clean up the channel where it goes--de-rust and paint wherever necessary.
Clean the window obsessively--many many times!
Leave the window out in the sun to warm up--the adhesive will stick better to a warm window.
Shove the new adhesive into the channel on the body.
Slide the window into place, press into the adhesive.
Clamp the window in place; leave overnight to cure. I used some towels folded up between the seat headrests and the window, and shoved the seats back all the way until they tightly held the window in.
The next day, re-install the interior.

You can also use a heat gun or hair dryer on the adhesive and/or the window. I used a hair dryer on the window after I had installed it, just to try to ensure that the adhesive was sticking well. This might not be necessary.
