Question about Circuit Board - Backing
Hi,
I have a circuit board (the one mounted in the engine compartment) and the backing is starting to crumble away. The circuit board works perfect. Is there a special material that will work for re-sealing the backing? Any advice would be great.......................Thanks, Vern |

Thanks!
I will probably look for the potting compound. I agree with using something clear but, I have two boards that I want to list on E-Bay and need to get into "orig" condition. |

Tidybuoy,
Most would recommend that you solder all the connections prior to replacing the potting compound. Photos that you have done that would bring a higher price on Ebay IMHO. Or using that clear acrylic as 914GT suggested would prove the same also. Original condition for relay boards isn't a good thing. Original appearance is. And thanks for not just throwing them away. Actually, one of my circuit boards is in really good condition and the 2nd one has a piece about the size of a penny missing.
Thanks for all the good advice..............................Vern |
