Question about Circuit Board - Backing

Hi,

I have a circuit board (the one mounted in the engine compartment) and the backing is starting to crumble away. The circuit board works perfect.

Is there a special material that will work for re-sealing the backing?

Any advice would be great.......................Thanks, Vern

Thanks!

I will probably look for the potting compound. I agree with using something clear but, I have two boards that I want to list on E-Bay and need to get into "orig" condition.

Tidybuoy,

Most would recommend that you solder all the connections prior to replacing the potting compound. Photos that you have done that would bring a higher price on Ebay IMHO. Or using that clear acrylic as 914GT suggested would prove the same also.

Original condition for relay boards isn't a good thing. Original appearance is.

And thanks for not just throwing them away.

Actually, one of my circuit boards is in really good condition and the 2nd one has a piece about the size of a penny missing.

Thanks for all the good advice..............................Vern
