The "Autoweek" editor indicated that a 1975 2.0 went for $11,000.00 at thr RM Auction. Further stating "With the passage of time the odd lines of the car have become more appealing, and we expect that good 914s will continue to creep up in price".
I've never really noticed odd lines on my 914. I do need an airsick bag every time I see an Aztec on the road though...now there are some odd lines !

914 value going up
I was at the RM Monterey auction....very clean silver 914. But I never guesses it would bring 11,000! Two years ago a black converted 914-6GT with a 3.0L(good condition ) went for 33,000. Yes, prices are going up. robert d.

I sold my 1973 1.7 for $6200 car was about a 9 out of 10 condition with five lug Fuchs, S calipers, and updated suspension...

My car has gone up in value about $20k now that I've put about 3x that into it. Maybe the author is onto something...

Just got thru this months "Excellence" and they did the 914 Market Value report. Even those hard core 911 editors are amazed at how our 914Pcars are rapidly coming up in value. Words like targa, mid-engined handling, Karmann, M471 , GT, 916, and other dazzling phrases are being served up to our roadsters.
But ya know, it took people like us over the years to build, drive, show and race the 914 into those peoples faces to get the props . Of course last months WCC 914 article (Thx. Jerrone /author !) and the mission of all 914 enthusiasts ,will only serve the 914 value higher and higher . ![]()
