Western wheels don't look half bad on this car

Those wheels are unsafe they use non tapered lug bolts that like to break causing the wheel to come off.

I have the same set of wheels.

The proper lug-bolts are a one-piece item that is NLA.

The 'replacement' is a screw-in stud with a sholder nut. Both the stud and sholder nut are hard to find in quality versions. I've gotten some that break at the sholder or the stud breaks with very little torque on them.

Those are the wheels that were on my car when I bought it and I have lug bolts. I just assumed that they were the same type of bolts that came with the car originally. I eventually want to get a nice set of four-lug Fuchs.

Here's another set of Western Wheels - I think they look good too.

They look great the lug nuts are the weak point.
Without a taper it is easy to over tighten the lugnut that cracks the lugut then the wheel can come off.

As I said, that's what I have on my car and I do like the way they look.

The offset is a bug offset so they set out a few mm versus the Fuchs or other stock wheels. This does make the car handle a bit different (compared to my track wheels that are Mahle).

see my car, no swaybar

Most Bug-offset wheels will make the tires sit out far enough in the fenders that you can't fit anything wider than 165-width tires in the back... Definitely makes for "interesting" handling, especially if you've got wider decent rubber up front!!

I have 195/60 street tires on my car. The rear fenders have less than a pinky finger clearance to them (dunno if the fenders have been stretched). The handling issues manifest themselves in a wierd turn-in response. Also, if the brakes are not perfectly bled, the car will pull to one side more in braking than with the track wheels.
