How come nobody has come up with a kit to convert our motor to a newer injection system? I think it would be cool to see my 914 powered by the Motronic system...

Kit Carlson is supposed to have his system available soon. It supposedly works very well in Jake's daily driver 912.

Real Soon Now, and Not A Whole Ton.
There are DIY-type kits available as well, but they are intended for those who like to DIY and tinker. Very definitely not plug-and-play. Check here for one: http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html SDS also has something that should work on a 914. http://www.sdsefi.com CB Performance has a system that is partly based on Geo Metro parts (ECU, primarily) that goes with four independant throttle bodies (think dual carbs but with injectors instead of jets). http://www.cpberformance.com Note that some of these may make it difficult or impossible to pass emissions testing, depending on where you are and what kinds of tests are done. --DD

Kit Carson's system works with stock D-jet plumbing, and he said it would be around $1000. I'm waiting for it to be released to the public also....
