Are the 2 and 1/16" replacement new VDO gauges that you can buy the same size as the stock center console gauges? If they are different, is it so noticeable as to look silly if you had 2 original gauges and one new one in the same console? Thanks in advance. Steve

they are not the same size, the factory gauges (and their mounting holes) are bigger. you can buy a "spacer/mounting ring" for VDO gauges that allow you to mount the smaller gauge in the console.

It is noticeable, but it doesnt (IMHO) look too silly.
Then again, I replaced the gauge panel of my center console with one that I made specifically to hold the aftermarket VDO gauges... (Some MDF, some vinyl, some glue, and a hole saw!) --DD

Anybody have a picture of the factory and aftermarket VDO side by side, or in the same console? Steve

Steve,
The previous owner of my 75 replaced the clock with an oil pressure gauge (gauge face is cracking BTWs..). It is the smaller VDO gauge with the ring. The other two are stock. If I remember, I'll take a pic tonight.
