How Much?
What is the average start-finish cost of 6 cylinder conversion? I am talking about a flat six not any american stuff.

ouch!!!! I will have to put that one off until I get through college. How long would a 2.4L buildup cost? How long would it last? How much power could be expected?

Check the "big fours" article in the Tech Articles section of the Pelican site.

Having just finished a conversion, I know first hand the cost. Mike is correct 6 to 15K depending on stuff. Though it is a lot of work, the end result is a great 914 especially if you have over 200+ HP

You may be better of buying a project that someone lost interest in (finished or not). You can save a bundle. I bought my 6 for $5000. The body isn't great, but not bad. The engine (an original 914-6 for some reason) runs strong with all the good updates. A few oil leaks fixed and minor body repair done, and i will have a nice car. I would whole heartedly recomend this route to save cash (and put it into more fun stuff). Just my $0.02
