Injectors 1&4 not firing

have been trouble shooting getting my '76 2.0 running. I posted yesterday on where I was at (see '76 2.0 won't run). Quick background, car started and idled great on Sunday. Took it for a test ride and it died on me. Bucked, acted like it was out of gas So, last night I replaced the fuel filter and drained the tank and put in fresh gas. No start. So, per Kjell's article, I check the trigger points. Working like they should. I pulled injectors 1&2, clean them out with carb cleaner, blast them with air. #2 fires gas, #1 doesn't. Ground issue, right? I pull the grounds off of the engine, clean them up and put back onto what I would consider a better grounding spot on the engine block (attached to the block, not on top of cooling tin). I was positive this would fix the issue. It didn't. If I switch the harness on the injectors the no go issue follows the harness. I have a rebuilt harness from Bowlsby so I am hoping it isn't a harness issue. Injectors check out for proper resistance. Check the ground again? If a harness issue, how to isolate?

Any direction would be appreciated. I am making progress though and really learning the D-jet system! And thank you to those who replied to my previous post. Invaluable resource.

Regards,
Shane

Trigger points, in the base of the distributor. The grounds are paired so that the front two cylinders are together, and the rear two cylinders are together. Fuel supply issues usually affect both right-side cylinders first, because they're "closer" to the pump. Issues with cylinders diagonal to each other are trigger point issues, or issues with the connections to the trigger points.

Check that again Dave...

The injectors on each side share grounds. So 1+2 and 3+4 share grounds. If the injector pairs are not firing in those pairs, then check their common ground connection.

Looks like 1&3 share and 2&4 share, on the 73 wiring diagram, which matches what I thought was the case...

I will, however, bow to your expertise. You've dug into about 500 more of these harnesses than I have.

I still stand by my diagnosis of trigger points or related parts.

Well, I cleaned the trigger points with a small file and that seems to have worked! Drove the car to work this morning. Now, time to address the oil leaks that have appeared
Thanks again for all the help.
