Rebuilding the distributor

Before I installed a Crane electronic ignition last year in my '76 2.0, my Porsche mechanic had told me the dwell was erratic indicating a worn distributor. With no points to worry about now, is there any value in getting my distributor rebuilt (i.e. new bushings, etc.)anyway? I still have a consistent "miss" in the 3800-4000 rpm range in all gears that is annoying.

I had that same stupid problem. Made me mad enough to buy a differant one. When I removed the Crane I noticed that some of the wires were being pinched. I cut the wires and repaired them, then reconnected everything (more carefully this time) and ta'da' everything worked great.
