engine support bar

Do I need a new/improved engine support bar if increasing power in stock engine to 130/150 HP range? I'm having difficulty finding a listing for those bars.

Nope. The stock part should hold up to just about anything you throw at it.

Used is far more economical. They don't wear out, so unless someone really mashes it into a speed-bump or some other pavement obstacle, any used one should be just fine.

Make sure to get the one that matches the type of transmission linkage you have! Side-shift uses a curvy cast piece with a large hole in it for the linkage to pass through, tail-shift uses a relatively straight piece of square tubing (I think it was) that the linkage sits above.

Thank you Tab, how much do you want for it? I need the one for a 74, one with the hole for shifter linkage.

engine support bar

Hey Tab, Thanks for your offer but I am okay now. I am a newbie to Pelican and I am wowed at how quickly things are addressed and how helpful people are. I live in the lobster capital of the world so if you are ever up this way first beer is on me!
