Swapping front strut assemblies... questions...

I know that the pressure plates should not be moved, but what if the tab washer does? Cant i just mark its position then when retorquing the nut, keep it in its initial position?
Second, IF the presure plates move while unscrewing its bolts, cant i just do teh same? Mark position and replace while retorquing?

I am a novice with a goodwill to learn, please be patient. Thanks.

I have seen many race cars with the adjustable camber plates and they let you move the upper mount and even take the strut out and put it back with some reasonable amount of accurate alignment. I imagine you could do the same with the stock plates if you traced the outline with a scribe and then put it back in the EXACT same place. I would still figure on doing an alignment as soon as I could afford one. Good luck.
