engine pull

I am about to pull the moter out o my parts car and can't firure out how the shiftomg rod disconnects . I got the front but can't figure out the back.

pull off the cover at the rear, will be apparent how to disconnect it,

its a 72 so its a tail shift right?

if it is i just pulled the access panel at the rear of the tunnel. there you will see the shift bar staring you in the face. there should be a clamp on that, with a circular whole on the side of the tunnel for a rachet access. once the clamp is atleast lose, you have to go to where the shift ram connects to the "ball joint at the fire was (front of shift ram). here with the shifter semi disconnected you should just be able to pull the ram off.
this is how i worked mine out

also theres probably some other better way of doing this. im just an amatuer.
