need help with fuse board relays

looked in the tech section but couldn't find which relays feed what on the fuseboard inside over the clutch pedal. Trying to get my Wipers working so I can get it inspected. Any help is appreciated.

Fuse number 8 is for the wipers. On a 74, it should be a 16 amp fuse.

well, i'm not getting voltage to that fuse, actually reads about .03 volts. Any idea where that might come from?

Check out the wiring diagrams on the Pelican main site. It's pretty straightforward to trace it back.

not understanding what's happening here. no current at fuse#8 either pole. If i bridge from fuse #9 to #8, the wipers work, so all is well in the switches and motors, just have to get current to them. hmmmmmm

Which car? The wiring is a wee bit different between 72, 74, and 76 914s.

The "Fresh Air relay" on top of the fuse panel feeds the #8 fuse. Look for red, red/white, black/red, and brown wires going to the relay plug. Check that the red wire has +12V all the time, the red-white wire has +12V when the key is on, and the brown wire has a good ground.

Also try swapping that relay for one that seems to work already.

That's what I'm looking for! Is it one of the round black relays like they have elsewhere in the car. I think I have extra's of those.

Thanks Dave!
