How can I fab or where can I buy the little 90 deg elbow connected to the aux air valve?
What sensor is connected on the bottom of the intake plenum? I can see a bosch type connecter attached to somthing?? [This message has been edited by Va914 (edited 05-08-2001).] |

No idea on the elbow. Do you really need it? I don't remember if there's anything in the way or not...
The thermo-time switch (controls the cold-start valve) is down low on the plenum. I think it's below the CSV. --DD |

Thanks, I thought it might be the thermo ****ch. The 1.8L isn't starting to well cold. The cold start valve isn't working?
Thanks again |

I think the CSV is only supposed to operate when the engine is VERY cold (like <40F or thereabouts--might have been 50F, but I think it was 40F) and while the starter is cranking.
Not sure what it could be offhand. Look through the Haynes FI chapter for some diagnostics on the L-jet system. --DD |
