Question CHT Sensor connection

I have basicly completed my rebuid on my 76 2.0 (only a few extra parts and wires left over ).

Seriously, I am impressed with how easy it was, but I cant seem to find where to connect the cht sensor (I understand it is supposed to send a signal to the brain) (and there is a single connector close to the brain, but the two ends dont seem to fit). Can someone give a shot at describing it for me? Thanks-Hugh

The CHT sensor wire terminal should be a single pole female. Beginning from the ECU connector to the brain,

the first node of the FI harness will be the speed limiter (6 pole connector), if your car is so equipped, if not, the first node will be 3 branches (2 for cylinders 3+4 fuel injectors, 1 for the MPS.

The very next branch is a single wire which should have a single pole male wire terminal inside an elongated plastic box connector housing...but they do often fall off the harness because the harness is delicate there. The CHT is mandatory for the engine to function...it shouldn't even start without it.

I can repair it for you and verify the function of the entire harness if you need it done. Contact me off line.

Thanks Bowlsby. The connector you describe was the right one, the problem was that the female pole had gottens smashed to one side. With a good eye and a flashlight, it slipped right together.
