Hi Gerard,
Good hearing from you again. It's been a long time. Yes, I've been keeping very busy. My car has been 'offline' for over a week now and I miss driving it, but now's a good time to make a lot of changes to make it better. We sold the red V8 a little over a year ago. It now resides in S. Carolina somewhere. Thanks for posting ... this board is not exactly hopping with activity. |

Guy,
Thanks for the reply, it's great to hear from you. BTW, would you make up some AC lines for my application or would that be too difficult w/o the car? I didn't see the fittings on the website. Are they standard metric or do some companies have a unique fitting? Mine will be a mix of Audi climate unit, dryer, pump and Porsche Boxster condensors.

Felix,
I'll send you a PM, I have a PDF catalog of fittings I can send you. I have beadlock dies to crimp standard barrier hose (sizes 6, 8,10, 12). There are all kinds of fittings available depending on the type of vehicle, male/female thread, 90 deg/straight, etc. You'd have to determine what types you need to connect to your evap (expansion valve or O-tube), condenser, and compressor. I would recommend using a new drier. It would work best if you figured out your exact hose lengths by routing some old garden hose or better, some barrier hose of the needed diameter. If you sent me the pre-cut hoses and fittings I would be happy to crimp them for you. By making them off-the-car you would need to route the hoses so the fittings would go through any openings cut in the body. |
