Turbo Conversion?

Just thinking ahead for a project to work on with my kids. They are too young now but it never hurts to plan ahead.

I have always been fond of the 914 and am thinking one would be a great project for us. I was thinking about a wild 6cly conversion and how carried away you could get when it hit me... I have never heard of a 3.3 liter turbo'd 914. I mean the raw power of a 911 turbo in light mid-engined car that retains the reliability of a stock motor?

Anyone ever built one or heard of one? Is the idea too insane?

Check "iamchappy". He's got a 3.0 turbo, IIRC. Packaging is a little difficult, and it seems impossible to mount an intercooler without some serious body mods. But boy does it seem neat! (I'd love to get a ride in it some day, too.)
