How the heck...
...do you change/adjust the alternator belt on a 914-6 conversion?
I did a search, and it appears cutting an access panel between the seats is possible, but I'd rather not. ![]() |

Cut the back oanel and make an access port. Aquire a piece of sheet 2" larger overall then the cut out and use aircraft fittings to make it easily removable.

cut an access hole and make a panel to fit over it.
![]() ![]() an aluminum panel fits over the hole. You can either use nut-rivits, or tack weld some nuts to the back side so you can bolt the cover in place. |

Nice solution, you could put a bead of silicone or some weatherstrip around periphery to seal it too, in case you drive in the rain
