Engine Rebuild Questions
After spending the last several weeks just looking at my torn down 1.8 I finally bit the bullet and started spending money. The one question I still have is around the cam - the solid cam followers do not look like they are worn (what do I know?) do I need to get new followers to match my new cam? The old cam also has the riveted cam gear - do I need to purhase a new one or can I reuse the old one?
I did watch Raby's video but he does not go into a lot of detail here? Thanks

If you drill out the rivets, you can re-use the old gear.
New lifters for a new cam. --DD
