Talking Linkage question

I drove my car for the first time today!!!
Granted it was in reverse for 20 feet then back into first for another 20, But oh what feeling. [img]http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gif
Can anyone offer a great solution for routing the accelerator cable for carbs?

I've seen this asked before but I never heard many responses. I thought I had a really good way but my current cable is has too much bend to it and tends to stick. Will a stock cable work with the carbs? I'm currently experimenting with an extremely fancy cable made for off-road buggies. I'd rather keep it simple.

Should I turn the carb linkage around where the linkage is more towards the front of the car rather than the rear?

Thanks for everyone's help.

For duel carbs come up through tin in front of the fan then to a bracket that holds it in-line with the throttle bar.

Single ones are similar but I've seen a really neat one that had a wheel much like the thermostat, to deal with the sharp bend.
