Heat exchanger
Hi,
I got this heat exchanger in a box of Porsche parts that I bought. Can anybody tell what size engibe it fits and is it an SSI? Thanks, Rick ![]() ![]() |

SSI. I would presume for a 2.0 liter.

If you look at the exchanger from the side, does it sit pretty much flat on the table? Is the muffler flange close to the table, or 4-5" above it? If it's on the table or very close, you have a 2.0 exchanger. If it's up several inches, it's a 1.7 (or 74 1.8) exchanger.
It looks like stainless. But take a magnet to it to make sure. If the magnet doesn't stick, it's stainless. --DD

I may have the other one. I have an odd stainless 2.0 in the garage somewhere. I will look to see which side it is.
