Just noticed that my left door pocket should actually be spring loaded. I can figure out where the spring attaches to the lid, but where does it hook into on the door panel???

Near the rear of the box there will be a little hole in the door pad with a washer crimped in it. The other end of the spring attaches through this hole into the door frame. Don't just hook it to the door pad, it will rip out the pad around the hole. BTDT.

I disconnected the spring the first time I pulled the door panels, and never bothered hooking it back up again. I don't think it needs it--gravity does quite a nice job of holding it down.

Hello
The spring has two reasons: keeping the door shut and avoid rattle and to keep the door open. Its a bit tricky but if you remove the pocket and then hang the door in and screw it back on it mostly is the easiest way. Yet angled nose pliers do work too. Grüsse |
