The relay board on my 1974 1.8 is very bare. I can see one relay plugged in, and three empty spots. Plus a few spade terminals with nothing connected. Somewhere, a PO must have disconnected a few things. Since the car runs, I assume the one relay is the FI. Does anyone have a definitive photo of what else should be there and what it does?

The hanes manual does a surprisingly good job of detailing what should be on the realy board, what it does, where it goes, etc. Pick one up at your local auto parts store for around $17.
By the way, my '74 1.8 has not one relay in the board! There are ways around everything. Not my way mind you, I am in the middle of making mine right! Good luck. Sean |

The 1.8s don't use part of the relay board. However, the heater blower needs to have a relay (and the associated fuse), so even they can't get away with no relays and have everything functioning...
![]() The other relay that the L-jet crew may need is the rear window defroster relay. But that only works if you have the rest of the stuff... L-jet EFI should have one wire plugged into the T-4 (four-pin) connector at the left-rear of the relay board. same board as the rest of them, but less relays, as the dual relay for the computer and fuel pump hangs below the battery.
