Mainely parts question

My 914 came with a Mainely (name brand) Turbo Tie Rod Kit that is not installed. I know nothing about the company and am curious if I should install this kit or consider Pelican's kit instead. Anybody know the quality of this kit? Thanks

See if it has the Lemforder tie rod ends. That's usually the sign of a quality Turbo Tie Rod Kit.

We at Pelican would, of course, be happy if you bought from us. Keep in mind that may influence my judgement.

From discussions with other 914 owners, I do know that there is at least one "good" brand (Lemforder), and at least one that is not so good. I do not know the "not so good" brand name, though. But a number of people have had poor experiences with tie-rod sets that they bought off of e-bay for cheap... The Lemforder sets are usually more expensive than the not-so-good ones.
