The Engine Lid Just Popped Open ... ??
Happy New Years Guys!
Today & as always and outta the blue, my engine lid popped open at a stop sign. I closed it ... but to no avail ... it popped open at the next stop sign. I cable tied it down and tried to fix it when I got home. It appears that the bottom delta of the 90 degree turn of the latch sheared off. No adjustment forward does the trick. I tried to bend a bolt and make a repair but they break off, even when heated. Anyone have a latch bolt? This is really embarrasing... Anyways. I can't check oil without a new cable tie and wire cutters. Sheesh! Thanks, Rick God Bless & Happy 2009 to all my 914 Brothers ...
