My my how my photos get around. The Aase pic is one I uploaded about 5 years ago. It was the back cover of a Porsche magazine in the '80's.
Here is one I found recently... ![]()

I saw one at gunnar racing a few years ago. I think it might have been the orange one, no?

Yes the orange one is at Gunnar. I've seen it there too. Kevin said he would never sell it.
It has been sitting on jackstands for years. Typical 914.

Unless he sold there's one in Denver with an eccentric collector. It was Troutman who built, them, right? I'm terrible with names but that's the name that sticks out. I think Ferg tried to buy it at one point but the owner wanted too much for it. That was 2 or maybe 3 years ago. I recall that he wanted $14k for it. With what happened with the market shortly after that, it would have likely been a decent price for it.

The one in CO is a 4-cyl. The one in FL is the -6. They were both built by Troutman, correct.

Very cool. I'm surprised there aren't more of them.

I followed a 914 El Camino in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles about 3 years ago. It wasn't finished as nice as the pictures shown on this thread, but looked like it was a daily driver. I always wondered if the owner was a member of any of the online boards.
